At the left of the screen there is a set of "Quick Start" buttons
for easy access to the most common functions. The list of portfolios
allows quick and easy selection of a portfolio for viewing, quotes, or adding
securities. |

Portfolio
View
This view shows the detail for one portfolio selected
from the portfolio list. The cash and margin account balances appear
at the top of the screen. Totals and performance data for the selected portfolio
are shown at the bottom of the screen Within
the main window there is one line which summarizes each security within
the portfolio. Clicking
on the other tabs will show the Cash or Margin Account information, the
portfolio notepad, and the portfolio properties tab. Hovering the mouse
pointer over View Portfolio Details will reveal additional
information about the portfolio. Hovering the mouse pointer over a Security
Description (the left-most column) will reveal additional information about
the security. Columns on the screen may be sorted by clicking on the column
header. Column order (left-to-right) may be changed by clicking and draggin
a column header. |
Security View
This view is very similar to the Portfolio View, except that it shows
the detail for one security within a portfolio. The security
totals and performance data appear at the top of the screen. There are two
parts to the main window: open trainsactions and closed transactions
containing buy/sell transactions for the security. Clicking
on the other tabs will show the dividends and interest, security notepad,
and properties for the current security. Hovering the mouse pointer over
View Security Details will reveal additional information about the security. |
Define New Security
This form is used to define a new security, put
it into the master library, and assign it to one or more portfolios. Portfolio
Manager supports the following security types: Common Stock, Preferred
Stock, Stock Option, Mutual Fund, Corporate Bond, Tax-Free Bond, Government
Bond, Zero-Coupon Bond, and Certificate of Deposit. |
Transaction Entry
This form is used to enter all transaction data for
securities. Only the transactions allowable for the selected security
will be active. Transaction total and/or commission amounts can be automatically
calculated, and the transaction cost or proceeds can be allocated to the
Cash and/or Margin accounts. |
Automatic Quote Retrieval
The starting point for retrieving daily market
quote data. Quote data can be entered manually (via a different menu selection)
for securities which have no market ticker symbol. |
Report Selection
The screen above includes a list of some of the reports available within
Portfolio Manager grouped by report type e.g. quotes, tax, value, transaction... |
Statement of Account Report
Standard format for Statement of Account. This
report is also available in Unit Values (Price Per Share) format. |
